AUTOS : Yokohama Tire Wins Recognition by Toyota for On-Time Delivery

Fullerton-based Yokohama Tire Corp. has been singled out by Toyota Motor Manufacturing USA as an outstanding supplier for 1994 because of its on-time delivery record.

Yokohama, the U.S. manufacturing and distribution arm of Japan’s Yokohama Rubber Co., makes tires at a plant in Salem, Va., and ships them to Toyota’s central distribution center in Columbus, Ohio, for delivery on demand to the Japanese car maker’s auto plants in Kentucky and Northern California.
