Datum Inc.: The Anaheim manufacturer of frequency products and timing instruments reported first-quarter profit of $240,000, or 8 cents a share, a 7% gain from $225,000, or 9 cents a share, for the year-ago period. Sales increased 31%, to $9.8 million from $7.5 million.
