The largest bottle of wine in the world--called a Nebuchadnezzar, the equivalent of 20 bottles--sold for $36,800 at Sherry-Lehmann & Sotheby’s fine and rare wine sale in New York.

It was a record price for a Nebuchadnezzar and the highest price ever paid for a Mouton-Rothschild at Sotheby’s.

Two other Nebuchadnezzars of Chateau Mouton-Rothschild were offered. The 1988 vintage went for $19,550 and the 1978 fetched $10,120, bringing the total for all three Nebuchadnezzars to $66,470.
