TEMPLE-BEAUDRY : Health Fair Set for Filipino War Vets

A free health fair will be held next Saturday for Filipino World War II veterans and other members of the community.

Sponsored by the Filipino Community Health Project, with the assistance of several Filipino American organizations, the health fair will offer tuberculosis and blood pressure screenings and general checkups. Health counseling and substance abuse information will be provided in English and Tagalog.

Organizers are particularly interested in targeting the elderly veterans. They are considered to be a high-risk group for tuberculosis.
