BRIEFLY : Awards: Two Students Win European Trips

Two Loyola Marymount University students will be traveling to Europe this summer as the recipients of the Eugene Escalier Foreign Study Awards.

Norah Arroyo, 22, will be visiting Spain to study slavery in Andalus at the Institute of Medieval Mediterranean Spain in Playa Del Rey.

James Keane, 20, will travel to Rome to study the works of Virgil and hopes to visit the areas mentioned in Book VI of the “Aeneid,” the poet’s masterpiece.

Each will receive $3,000 to complete their studies.
