Drug Smugglers
* Regarding “Ex-Investigator Shot to Death in Guadalajara,” May 11:
Mexican officials link the killing of Leobardo Larios Guzman to “the drug gangs that each year smuggle . . . a huge amount of the cocaine that ends up in the United States.”
This demonstrates the importance of controlling U.S. borders, because those controls can also reduce the drug problems and killings in Mexico by taking away the U.S. drug market.
