Mental Health: Call to Close Home Center

I was so angry after reading Mary Moore’s article (Westside, May 28) about Meadowbrook Manor, a residential mental health center that officials have recommended closing down. I think Jim O’Callahan should wonder if he, his wife and their three children are good neighbors. What if two-parent, three-child households were considered a nuisance? I empathize with wanting a safe environment for one’s family, but this world is getting too crowded for the more fortunate to continue with a “not in my back yard” mentality. KARA BARTON Los Angeles
