* Michael Ward, president and chief executive of Charter Pacific Bank, was elected chairman of the bank’s board of directors at the Agoura Hills-based institution’s annual shareholder meeting last month.
Ward, who joined Charter Pacific in 1992 as chief financial officer, is the second person to hold the top board post in the bank’s 14-year history. He replaces David LaFaile, a Santa Monica attorney.
In other changes to Charter Pacific’s board, director Larry Satcher, president of Tricon Inc. in Newbury Park, was elected vice chairman.
* Eric Weider has been named president and chief operating officer of Weider Health & Fitness in Woodland Hills. Previously, Weider was executive vice president of the company, which distributes nutritional products.
