Northrop Grumman Signs Aircraft Pact: The Los Angeles-based defense contractor said France’s Defense Ministry agreed to buy two E-2C Hawkeye aircraft in a deal worth $562 million. The aircraft, which carry so-called early-warning command and control systems that detect and track long-range targets, will be stationed aboard the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle, which is under construction. The planes will be built at Northrop Grumman’s plant in St. Augustine, Fla.
