IBM Gets Antitrust Approval for Lotus Merger: Armonk, N.Y.-based International Business Machines Corp. said it got a green light from federal antitrust regulators to proceed with its $3.5-billion acquisition of Lotus Development Corp. of Cambridge, Mass. “We heard from the [Federal Trade Commission], and they will not be requesting additional information from us,” IBM spokesman John Iwata said.
