J. Ray Construction Names Project Development Vice President
* Stephen Vial has been appointed vice president for project development at J. Ray Construction Co. in Irvine. His responsibilities include pre-construction services, marketing and client liaison activities. Vial was previously with the Austin Co., an architectural, engineering and construction firm.
* Charles R. Smith Jr. has been named vice president of business development for National Contracts Inc., a Rancho Santa Margarita health care consulting firm. Before joining the company, he was vice president of Sharp Healthcare and chief executive of Southern California Material Management Alliance in San Diego.
* E. John Doyle has been appointed president of Agent Financial Services Corp., a subsidiary of Ganis Credit Corp. in Newport Beach. Doyle had been executive vice president at Southern California Savings in Beverly Hills since 1988. Before that he was a senior vice president with California Federal Bank and Crocker National Bank.
* Erin Kaylor has been named public relations coordinator in the department of marketing and physician services for Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center in Mission Viejo. She previously held a similar position at Saddleback Memorial Medical Center in Laguna Hills.
* Thomas Rendina has joined Ivie Industries, an Irvine manufacturer of computer security products and industrial hardware, as chief operating officer. Rendina previously served as director of operations for Birtcher Medical Systems in Irvine, and before that was general manager of LEA Dynatech in Santa Fe Springs.
* Carl P. Patsko has joined Sunwest Bank in Tustin as senior vice president and chief lending officer. He is responsible for managing the bank’s credit administration and special assets functions.
* Richard E. Mahmarian has joined the board of directors of Alpha Microsystems, a Santa Ana information technology products and services provider, filling a vacancy created by the departure of John C. Ball. Mahmarian is vice chairman and executive vice president of RJS Inc., a Monrovia manufacturer of bar code printers, verification scanners, software and other products.
* Dan Hoemke has been appointed to the newly created position of vice president of national sales for the managed care operations of PacifiCare Health Systems Inc. in Cypress. Hoemke also will continue as president and chief executive of Covantage, PacifiCare’s health care administration and employee benefits consulting group.
