AlliedSignal Inc. to Invest $100 Million in Country: The Morristown, N.J.-based firm said it expects to complete plans for at least 10 joint ventures or wholly owned operations in China in the next two years. Among the several projects it has under way in China are a $27-million investment in a wholly owned factory to produce turbochargers in the Pudong region of Shanghai.
