Ingram to Distribute Interlink RemotePoint

Share

Interlink Electronics of Camarillo announced last week that it has worked out an agreement with Ingram Micro Inc. of Santa Ana to distribute its new RemotePoint cordless mouse and other computer pointing devices.

E. Michael Thoben III, chairman and CEO of 10-year-old Interlink, said the business agreement will increase the availability of Interlink products to the public and help Interlink expand into European markets.

Thoben said Ingram Micro will provide his company with increased access to a variety of customer bases, including the resale and corporate markets.

“We have a broad product offering and we needed a distributor divided into specific business segments,” Thoben said. “We could not possibly find all these channels of distribution ourselves.”

Interlink’s RemotePoint, a cordless, hand-held, two-button mouse, allows the user to operate the pointer from a distance of up to 40 feet from the computer screen.

Last year, Interlink reported total sales of slightly less than $8 million, an increase of 80% from the previous year. Ingram Micro reported sales of $5.8 billion.
