Plasma and Materials Ships Systems to 2 Companies

Plasma and Materials Technologies Inc., a Chatsworth developer and supplier of equipment used to make semiconductors and flat-panel displays, announced last week that it has shipped a multi-chamber Pinnacle 8000 plasma etch system to Texas Instruments and a similar system to Dallas Semiconductor.

TI and Dallas Semiconductor will receive sales and service support from the newly opened PMT office in Dallas. Dallas Semiconductor will use the Pinnacle 8000 for etching poly and silicide stacks, while TI will use the system for applications development, according to a statement issued by the company.
