Public Affairs Director Named by S.C. Edison
* Jo Ellen Allen has been named Orange County director of public affairs for Southern California Edison. She will serve as the contact on all regional and county issues related to utility activities in Orange County. Allen was previously president and chief executive of the Franklin Institute for the Study of American Heritage in Newport Beach. Before that, Allen was president and chief executive of the Eagle Forum of California, a national nonprofit public policy organization.
In addition, C. Michael Stockstill has been appointed director for Edison’s San Gabriel Valley region. He had been director of public affairs for Optima Corp. in Santa Ana. Stockstill was formerly a reporter and editor for several Orange County newspapers and magazines, spent 13 years with the Irvine Co. and was later director of public affairs for Orange County’s Transportation Corridor Agencies.
* Kurt Bloxdorf has joined the Cerplex Group, a Tustin provider of electronic repair and parts services, as national sales director. Bloxdorf was formerly sales and marketing manager at Bell Atlantic Computer Technology Services for six years.
* Melinda Morgan has been appointed treasurer of the Performing Arts Business Alliance, a support group to the Orange County Performing Arts Center. Morgan is president of Morgan Marketing & Public Relations in Tustin.
* Mark Rozelle has been named business development officer in Orange County for Heller First Capital, a lender specializing in U.S. Small Business Administration guaranteed loan programs. Before joining the company, he was a partner with Lee & Associates Commercial Real Estate in Newport Beach.
* Joe Hammer has been elected chairman of the board of the California Moving and Storage Assn. in Los Alamitos. Hammer is with California Relocation Services Inc. in Anaheim, an agent for Global Van Lines.
* Michael Miner has been named general manager of Marriott’s Laguna Cliffs Resort at Dana Point, formerly the Dana Point Resort. Miner has 17 years of hotel management experience, including eight years with Interstate Hotels Corp., Marriott’s largest franchiser.
* Jo Ann T. Jordan has been appointed vice president of First American Trust Co.’s employee benefits trust department in Santa Ana. Jordan has been with the company 15 years.
* Jeanette M. Reese has joined businessVision Consulting Group Inc., a Laguna Hills management consulting company. She had been principal of Reese Management Consulting.
* Wayne F. Miller has been elected to a three-year term on the board of directors of the California Bankers Assn. Miller is president and chief executive of Orange National Bancorp.
* Marsha Stewart has been named business development manager for American Lock & Supply Inc., an Anaheim distributor of security and door hardware. She was previously national retail accounts manager. In addition, Ken Kuck has joined the company in the newly created position of marketing programs manager. Kuck is a 10-year veteran of the advertising industry.
