Talk on Border Economic Study: Highlights from the San Diego/Tijuana Demographic Atlas, compiled recently by the San Diego Dialogue think tank at UC San Diego, will be discussed Wednesday at a noon luncheon of the Greater San Diego Chamber of Commerce. San Diego Dialogue Director Chuck Nathanson will speak about the study, which found a surprisingly high income level among Tijuanans, the highest of any Mexican border city. Also surprising was the high percentage of Tijuanans--about 45%--whose homes had neither running water nor sewer hookups in 1990, the date of the census on which the study is based.
