Wind Dancer Names New Chief

Susan Cartsonis, former senior vice president of production for Twentieth Century Fox, has been named to the new position of president of Wind Dancer Films, a division of Wind Dancer Production Group.

* Max Howard, a former senior vice president in the feature animation division at Walt Disney Co., has been named president of Warner Bros. Feature Animation.

* Scott Immergut, a former vice president of production for Hollywood Pictures, will become president of Sandollar Productions.

* William A. Burke has been named president of TBS Superstation.

* At Paramount, Steve Stark has been promoted to vice president of current programs at the Network Television Division and Dawn Abel has been named vice president of programming for the Domestic Television Division of Paramount Television Group. Also, Paramount Television Group has named Leonard J. Washington II vice president and executive producer, and Scott G. Converse has been appointed senior vice president of technology for the newly formed Paramount Digital Entertainment.

* Sony Electronics Inc. announced that Bud O’Shea has joined Sony’s MultiMedia CD project team as its primary liaison to the motion picture industry.

* David McDonagh has been named vice president of international marketing for PolyGram Records Inc.

* At MCA, Adam Friedman has been promoted to the position of vice president of business affairs at MCA Concerts Inc., and Allyson Winkler has been named director of advertising and merchandising at MCA Records.

* At New Line Cinema, Neal Rothman has been named manager of business development and Ginny Martino has been named executive director of business affairs administration.

* Paul Brown has joined October Films in the newly created position of creative director.

* Stacey Lisa Goodman has joined Gemini Entertainment as director of development.

* Marc Sabella has joined Showscan Entertainment as corporate controller, succeeding Roy Guinarais, who was recently promoted to director of film licensing and distribution and director of theater operations.

* Warner Bros. Television has promoted Maria Rastatter to senior vice president of comedy development, and Nina Tassler to senior vice president of drama development. Craig Hunegs has moved to WB Television Network as head of business affairs.

* Atlantic Records has promoted Richard Bates to vice president of creative services and Bonnie Slifkin to director of progressive-rock promotion.
