US Facilities Corp.: The Costa Mesa insurance company posted second-quarter net income of $3.8 million, or 67 cents a share, which included a charge related to the closure of the company’s US MedCare Review operations. That compares with net income of $761,000, or 13 cents a share, for the corresponding year-earlier period, which included charges totaling $2.2 million related to an unsolicited takeover attempt and a restructuring. Revenue reached a record $39.9 million, up 24% from the $32.2 million posted a year ago. For the first half, net income totaled $6.8 million, or $1.19 a share, compared with $1.4 million, or 23 cents a share, for the first six months last year. Revenue gained 20% to $75.4 million from $62.7 million.
