Ford Recalls Mustangs: Dearborn, Mich.-based Ford Motor Co. issued a recall of some 1995 Mustangs, asking 1,100 owners to bring the cars into dealers for inspection. Ford said some of the cars may have been built with defective tie rods, which connect the steering mechanism to the front wheels. If the rods break, the Mustang may start to shake or shimmy and the wheel may tuck inward or outward, increasing the risk of an accident, according to the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration. No accidents or injuries related to the problem have been reported, according to the auto maker.
