The Rev. William Trower; Glendora Pastor

The Rev. William Trower, 84, who was pastor of St. Dorothy Parish in Glendora for 20 years. A native of Los Angeles, Trower studied for the priesthood at St. Thomas Seminary in Denver and North American College in Rome. He was ordained Dec. 8, 1938. Except for his service as a military chaplain in the Navy, Trower spent his entire career in the Los Angeles Archdiocese. Among the parishes he served were St. Anthony in Long Beach, Precious Blood and St. Alphonsus in Los Angeles, and San Fernando Rey Mission and St. Ferdinand in San Fernando. He served at the Glendora church from 1958 until 1978, when he was designated pastor emeritus. On Tuesday in Los Angeles.
