Bombing Session Set at Camp Pendleton
Residents may hear loud booms or feel the distinct rumbling of the ground during weekend training exercises at Camp Pendleton.
A barrage of 500-pound bombs are being dropped today and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. into an impact area at the Marine Corps base.
Depending on atmospheric conditions, officials said, the explosions may be heard and felt 50 miles away.
