Herbalife Shares Fall 10% After It Halts Some Tea Sales: The Inglewood-based company suspended sales of its Thermojetics Herbal Instant Tea Beverage in Germany and Portugal after government agencies in those countries started making inquiries about the product. Officials wanted to know why the company was not labeling the tea’s caffeine levels on the package, Herbalife International Inc. spokesman Craig Parsons said. Company officials “thought it was in full compliance and that it wasn’t necessary to indicate the caffeine content,” Parsons said. “They’ll obviously do whatever they can to make it right.” Parsons said the company pulled the product with the intent of fixing the labels and putting it back on the market. A cup of tea made with Thermojetics powder contains the caffeine of two cups of coffee, he said. Herbalife shares fell $1.25 to $11.25 on Nasdaq in trading of 565,700 shares, more than three times the three-month daily average of 168,500 shares.
