Nona Morelli’s II Inc.: The Irvine entertainment and leisure company, which also makes Italian foods, said Monday that it has settled a $4-million breach of warranty lawsuit filed in 1993 by a subsidiary of Kraft General Foods Inc. Terms of the settlement were not disclosed.
The subsidiary, All American Gourmet Co., had alleged that it suffered damages as a result of plastic contamination in pasta nests in 1991 at Nona Morelli’s plant in Pueblo, Colo. Nona Morelli’s said it stopped producing the nests in 1992. All American Gourmet of Clearfield, Utah, was sold to H.J. Heinz Co. shortly after the suit was filed.
