WESTMINSTER : Cookie Conclave Will Benefit Chorus

The Great Westminster Cookie Conclave, a fund-raising event to benefit local nonprofit groups and the 400 Voice Westminster Youth Chorus, will be Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Civic Center, 8200 Westminster Blvd.

The cookie-themed celebration will feature games, exhibits and contests, including cookie-eating, decoration and a cookie checkers tournament. Admission is free.

At 1 p.m., children age 2 through 5 will compete for the “Cutest Little Cookie” title. There will also be a competition for the best mustache, with judge Bob Pettee, the KNBC-TV Channel 4 helicopter pilot, who was chosen for his trademark handlebar mustache.
