Health of World’s Children Deplored

GENEVA —
Still struggling against malnutrition and disease, children in developing countries increasingly face Western-style health problems caused by tobacco, junk food and satellite TV, experts say.
The World Health Organization on Friday wrapped up a weeklong conference on the health of the world’s 1 billion schoolchildren.
Delegates were told that, even in richer countries, the situation is increasingly grim.
