Bolton Hits Big

Share

Critics might not like his music, but Michael Bolton’s “Greatest Hits 1985-1995” is a hit with his fans, debuting at No. 8 this week in The Times’ Southern California album chart. The album, which includes the singer’s most familiar material as well as five new songs, debuted at No. 5 in the national chart, selling a total of 85,000 copies during its first week in release. Meanwhile, Alanis Morissette’s “Jagged Little Pill” has moved to the top of both the local and national album charts. Selena’s “Dreaming of You” has started to slip in the overall charts, but it’s still No. 1 in the Latin charts.
