Women and Money: Women control more money than ever before, and with $10-trillion scheduled to transfer to the next generation of Americans, UCLA is offering advice on what they should do with it. For many of them, charting a financial future and allocating philanthropic dollars may be unfamiliar turf. A program Wednesday presented by Women & Philantrhopy at UCLA and the Anderson Graduate School of Management will explore “Women and Finance: Investment Strategies and Estate Planning.” Speakers will discuss investment strategies to increase personal wealth and estate planning methods to prevent losing more than half of that wealth to taxes. Scheduled speakers include Alison A. Winter, president and chief executive, Northern Trust Bank; Lynn J. Danielson, vice president and chief investment officer, Northern Trust Bank, and Leah M. Bishop, a partner in O’Melveny & Myers. For more information, call (310) 312-9062 or (310) 206-8197.
