World IN BRIEF : RUSSIA : Negotiators Suspend Chechen Peace Effort

Negotiators called a temporary halt to implementing an agreement on disarming Chechen rebels and reducing Russian troop presence in Chechnya. The action followed a bombing last week that seriously injured the co-chairman of a joint Russian-Chechen peace commission, Gen. Anatoly Romanov.
