California Split (TMC Sunday at 11:10 p.m.) is Robert Altman’s 1974 desperate odyssey from Los Angeles to Vegas of two compulsive gamblers (George Segal, Elliott Gould) who live in a world bounded by midnight and dawn, the shuffle of cards and the clack of a roulette wheel.

Dona Flor and Her Two Husbands (TMC early Wednesday at 2:30 a.m.), Bruno Barreto’s sexy ghost story of comic romance, shows a remarried widow (the vibrant Sonia Braga) torn between her living husband (who’s dull) and the dead one (a real live wire).

The Old Dark House (AMC Wednesday at 8:45 a.m.) is James Whale’s creepy and amusing 1932 take on spooky genre known by the film’s title. With Boris Karloff, Melvyn Douglas, Charles Laughton and Gloria Stuart.
