Sanwa Bank California Appoints New Vice President

Sanwa Bank California has appointed Romolo C. Santarosa to the position of vice president and controller.

Santarosa, 39, will be responsible for the bank’s accounting policies and operations in addition to overseeing all financial reporting practices. He will be based at the bank’s Los Angeles headquarters.

Previously, Santarosa served as corporate controller for Shawmut National Corp., parent company for New England-based Shawmut Bank.

* Tenet Healthcare Corp. has appointed Michael H. Ford to head its acquisition activities as senior vice president, acquisitions, and has named David R. Mayeux senior vice president, venture development and support, heading a newly created department. Tenet Healthcare is based in Santa Monica.

Arthur Andersen & Co. named Marc Berger as a partner and said he will head the real estate consulting and capital markets practice of the business consulting and accounting firm. Berger will work out of the Los Angeles and Irvine offices.

* Robert M. Kuhn has been named president of Rockwell Graphic Systems, a unit of Seal Beach-based Rockwell International Corp.

Kuhn, 53, succeeds Robert L. Swift, 66, who will retire at the end of this year.

Kuhn, who will report to Rockwell President and Chief Operating Officer Don H. Davis, was previously president of Hamilton Standard, a unit of United Technologies Corp.

Rockwell Graphic Systems is based in Westmont, Ill.
