Moonshine Proves Fatal for 22 in Southern India

NEW DELHI —
At least 22 people died in southern India on Sunday after they drank homemade liquor that police said may have been laced with poison, the Press Trust of India said.
Police told the news agency that they suspected the liquor was poisoned by one of two groups of “moonshiners” competing for control of a village in the Kamarajar district.
