A teen-ager on a crowded bus fired a gun through its door Tuesday, striking and killing a woman who was holding a baby girl.
Cynthia Jones, 39, was shot in the neck while waiting for the city bus in northwest Baltimore, police spokesman Rob Weinhold said. The infant wasn't injured.
Investigators believe the gunman was aiming for someone else, Weinhold said. Several teen-agers were arguing on the bus before the single shot was fired, he said.
"A group of teens started arguing. The argument escalated," Weinhold said.
Nobody has been arrested.
