Share

Cedric Ceballos scored 32 points and Anthony Peeler added 27 as the Lakers beat the Minnesota Timberwolves, 117-110, Friday night before 8,089 at the Forum in the GTE Everything Pages Shootout.

Ceballos has led the Lakers (3-1) in scoring in each of their four exhibition games. He is averaging 27.5 points.

Marques Bragg had a team-high 19 points for the Timberwolves.

Fred Roberts, trying to make the Lakers as a backup forward, left in the second quarter after being inadvertently scratched in the right eye by Jaren Jackson. Roberts was taken to Centinela Hospital Medical Center, where it was also learned he suffered a cut on the inside of the eye lid and that he will be unable to wear contact lenses for five days, probably sidelining him for that time.
