New English-Language Daily to Start Publication: Asia Times, a new business daily covering the region, will begin publication Dec. 6. Manager Group of Thailand, which has made an initial investment of about $20 million, is expecting a circulation of 30,000 to start and 40,000 by July, 1996. The newspaper has an editorial staff of 90 people with 27 foreign correspondents. It will be printed at satellite-linked sites in Thailand, Hong Kong and Singapore.
