Anaheim Center Names Manager of Operations
* David Meek has been named manager of the Anaheim Convention Center, with responsibility for the day-to-day oversight of operations. Meek has 20 years of facility management experience, most recently as general manager of the Salt Palace in Salt Lake City. He has also worked at the Los Angeles Music Center, the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center and the Niagara Falls Convention Center.
* John Tonnison has joined AmeriQuest Technologies Inc., a Santa Ana computer products distributor, as vice president of information systems. For the past six years, he has worked for Computer 2000, AmeriQuest’s major investor. In addition, Alex Kramer has been appointed vice president of operations. He had been vice president of operations for Robec Inc., a subsidiary of AmeriQuest.
* Bruce Broussard will join Regency Health Services Inc., a Tustin operator of health-care facilities, effective Jan. 1, as chief financial officer. He succeeds Gary L. Massimino, executive vice president and chief financial officer, who has decided to retire, the company said. Broussard was formerly a director and chief financial officer of Sun Healthcare Group Inc.
* Barbara Longson has been named marketing coordinator for Hon Development Co. in Laguna Hills. She joined the company in 1992 as administrative assistant for accounting and administration. Before that, Longson was a personnel and general administrator for Taylor Woodrow Homes.
* Robert B. Moran has been appointed director of the consumer division of Meguiar’s Inc., an Irvine manufacturer of car care products. He was previously the director of marketing for Armor All Products Corp.’s wax division.
* Craig Steigler has been named technical systems director for the Orange Coast Assn. of Realtors. Before joining the association, he was a computer coordinator for the Huntington Beach/Fountain Valley Assn. of Realtors.
* Larry Kleinschmidt has joined the Robert Mayer Corp. in Newport Beach as chief financial officer. The company is a residential developer and developer of the Waterfront Hilton Beach Resort in Huntington Beach. Kleinschmidt was previously chief financial officer of the William Lyon Co.
* Lee C. Tashjian has been appointed to the newly created position of vice president, corporate relations for Fluor Corp., an Irvine-based engineering, construction and diversified services company. Before joining Fluor, Tashjian worked for DuPont Co. for 14 years, where he last served as executive assistant to the chairman. Before that, he was director of corporate issues and director of communications for International Harvester in Chicago, and associate director of public relations for the Ohio Department of Transportation.
* Lenore Leone-Vlasic has been named vice president of marketing for Marie Callender’s Restaurants in Orange. She has been director of marketing and corporate marketing manager since joining the company in 1988.
