Western Digital Corp.: The Irvine data-storage company said it completed the sale of its multimedia products unit to a division of Philips Electronics NV. Terms weren’t disclosed. Philips Semiconductor will acquire such products as graphics accelerator cards and other chips that enhance the quality of video on computers. Western Digital is selling the unit as part of its effort to focus on the data-storage industry. The transaction was initially announced in September.
