Oxnard police said two known gang members from Ventura County were in jail Friday on charges of attempted murder after the October shooting of a 22-year-old San Bernardino resident.

Authorities on Wednesday arrested Cleveland Casey, 19, of Port Hueneme and Raymond Thomas, 19, of Oxnard in connection with the Oct. 20 attack on John Tualia in Oxnard. Police said they are still looking for a third suspect. Bail for each of the two suspects has been set at $500,000. A Ventura County Medical Center spokeswoman Friday said Tualia was released from the hospital on Oct. 28 after surgery for multiple gunshot wounds.

Police said they received a report about 10:15 p.m. Oct. 20 that a man had been shot in an alley in the 4700 block of Cloyne Street. Police said Tualia had an argument with at least one of the suspects, which escalated when one suspect pulled out a gun. The gunman fired the weapon several times, striking Tualia repeatedly, police reports said.

Police said that after the shooting, three suspects were seen fleeing the area in a gold, late-model Lincoln Town Car. Police said they identified the two suspects now in jail as the ones leaving the shooting scene in the car.

Police are asking anyone with information on the gold Lincoln Town Car seen in the vicinity of Cloyne Street and Dollie Street in Oxnard to call 385-7688 or 385-7604.
