SANTA ANA : Show to Defray Burial Costs for Katella Youth

Share

Family and friends will host a benefit concert Sunday to raise burial funds for Jonothan Croweagle Fabbro Curtis, one of the Katella High School teens killed last summer in a Mojave Desert car accident that took four lives.

The event, at the Galaxy Concert Theatre in Santa Ana, will be from 5 to 9 p.m. and feature the bands Three Blind Mice, Castle and Psychic Rain.

Fabbro Curtis’ father, Fred, organized the benefit to help defray funeral expenses because the family was uninsured. All proceeds will go to Pacific View Mortuary and Memorial Park in Newport Beach.

Fabbro Curtis and three other teens were killed July 29, when their friend, James V. Patterson, lost control of his Chevy Suburban. He has been charged with vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence of alcohol.

Concert tickets can be purchased Sunday at the Galaxy or in advance by contacting Fred Curtis at (714) 963-7323. The theater is at 3503 S. Harbor Blvd.

Other contributions to the fund can be sent to Poppy Laney, P.O. Box 2131, Costa Mesa CA 92628.
