Richard Ryder, 53, actor, director, singer and dancer on stage and television. Ryder’s work on the small screen included four television movies over the last decade: “Threesome,” “The Laker Girls,” “Cries Unheard: The Donna Yaklich Story” and earlier this year, “When the Dark Man Calls.” Ryder also appeared on many series, including “One Life to Live,” “For Richer for Poorer,” “The Jonathan Winters Show” and “Tonight.” On Broadway, he was featured in “See Saw,” “Via Galactica” and “Raggedy Ann.” Ryder sang in Las Vegas with such stalwarts as Anthony Newley, Tennessee Ernie Ford and Juliet Prowse. As a director, he handled the play “More Fun Than Bowling” at Studio City’s Lionstar Theatre last year and earlier New York productions of “The Music Cure,” “Rio & Rita,” and “Hunter Green.” On Oct. 27 in North Hollywood of the complications of AIDS.
