Tenet Completes Sale of Stake in Australian Medical: The Santa Monica-based hospital owner and operation said it completed the sale of its nearly 53% stake in Australia Medical Enterprises Ltd. to Australia’s Mayne Nickless Ltd. for $73 million. Tenet agreed last month to sell its stake in Australia Medical after accepting a revised takeover offer for the hospital group, which owns nine hospitals and a pathology laboratory business. The Nickless offer of 72 cents a share surpassed the offer by Generale de Sante International, a British arm of French water and construction group Cie. Generale des Eaux. Tenet Healthcare also said it reached an agreement to sell its 40% stake in Bangkok’s Burumgrad Medical Center Ltd., a 554-bed hospital being built there, to its local partner, Burumgrad Hospital Public Co. for an undisclosed amount.
