Share

Saddleback College students are planning a series of events Nov. 22 through Dec. 11 to heighten public awareness of AIDS.

The series starts with an AIDS Expo on Nov. 22 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the Student Quad. Representatives of several agencies that deal with the disease will discuss their services and answer questions.

Other events include a film festival, a safe sex workshop, candlelight vigil and weekly, confidential AIDS testing.

“This is something the associated student government has taken a great deal of time and effort on,” said college spokesperson Susan Lemkin, “not only to fund it, but to organize it.”

The series is open to the public, Lemkin said.

The college is at 28000 Marguerite Parkway, near Avery Parkway. Information: (714) 582-4517.
