Lyon Communities Inc.: The home-building arm of Newport Beach developer Lyon Cos. has been sued for damages in a construction defects case involving a single family project, Avignon at Province, in Foothill Ranch. The suit was filed Nov. 3 in Orange County Superior Court on behalf of several homeowners by an Irvine law firm that specializes in construction defects litigation. The suit seeks unspecified damages for alleged defects involving soil compaction, plumbing systems, framing, drywall, stucco, doors, windows and masonry walls in the rear yards. A Lyon spokesman was not available for comment.
