SHOW AND TELL: Eric Menendez’s attorney Leslie Abramson was “Exhibit A” during a schtick-filled Tuesday in Van Nuys court. Abramson drew giggles when she suddenly slumped to the floor. She was showing the jury how a prosecution expert said Eric’s mom fell when shot. Witness Robert D. Lawrence declined to act out his own testimony. “I’m wearing a nice suit and I’d rather not,” he said. . . . Though dressed to the nines herself, Abramson didn’t hesitate. She then shed her jacket and rolled up her sleeve so the expert could draw a wound on her arm. “I’ll mark it as an exhibit,” she said.

FLOORED: Abramson didn’t really hit the floor, says prosecutor David P. Conn. She rolled forward, recovering her balance at the last second. “It was entertaining,” he said. Conn was not so amused later when Abramson brought a bra to court. She wanted the witness to draw the spots where shotgun pellets entered Kitty’s breast. Conn objected and the judge ended “show-and-tell” despite this pledge by Abramson: “It is an empty brassiere and it’s going to stay that way.”

CIVIL SERVICE: Los Angeles County plans to open a “company store.” Experts from CSUN will show them how to sell their wares. What wares? Mugs, for sure, but also esoteric stuff like manhole covers. . . . Who knows, maybe the store could unload the county’s health care system.
