Church Deacon Gets Life Term in Crossbow Slaying

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. — A church deacon who used a crossbow to kill a motorist was convicted of first-degree murder and immediately sentenced to life in prison. Jurors on Thursday rejected Donald Graham’s claim that he fired the arrow at Michael Blodgett in self-defense after they cut each other off in traffic on Interstate 95 last year.
