Conference: “Small Business in the 21st Century” is the title of the 13th national legislative conference hosted by the Small Business Administration’s Office of Advocacy. Small-business leaders from around the country are scheduled to meet Dec. 5-8 at the Hotel del Coronado near San Diego. The registration fee is $300. Entrepreneur Series: Small-business owners who have been operating their own companies for at least five years can participate in a free, 10-week entrepreneur training program offered by the Valley Economic Development Center. The program includes instruction on strategic planning, marketing, sales and personnel management. The next program begins Nov. 28. Business Outlook: The 47th annual Business Outlook Conference, sponsored by the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce, is scheduled from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Nov. 29 at the Biltmore Hotel, 515 S.
