West Coast Bancorp: The Newport Beach parent company of Sunwest Bank said its net loss for the third quarter narrowed to $342,000, or 4 cents a share, from $630,000, or 7 cents a share, for the 1994 third quarter. For the nine-month period, a net loss of $666,000, or 7 cents a share, was recorded, compared with a net loss of $4.1 million, or 44 cents a share, a year ago. Total assets as of Sept. 30 were down 15% to $120.6 million from $141.6 million. West Coast sold its 94%-owned subsidiary, Sacramento First National Bank, Jan. 20.
