Region to See Moderate Economic Growth: The five-county Los Angeles region can expect moderate economic growth in 1996, with total non-employment to grow by 2.1%, according to a forecast to be released today by the Economic Development Corp. of Los Angeles County. That compares to 1995 expected job growth of about 1.8%, the report says. Growth will be led by international trade and motion picture and television production. Aerospace and high-technology should see the end of their employment declines next year, the report adds. Despite the expected growth, Los Angeles County will remain below its 1989 job peak. The forecast echoes others that recently forecast continuing recovery in the state and regional economies.
