Sony, Visa Plan On-Line Venture: Sony Corp. and Visa International Inc. joint venture would, among other things, allow consumers to buy Sony products through the Internet, according to analysts who said Sony told them of the plan. The service, expected to be called Sony Station, is scheduled to be available next spring. The two companies are set to announce the alliance in New York today, according to analysts. Visa is expected to provide the billing mechanism and the security to protect users’ credit card information. Visa officials declined to comment, and Sony officials didn’t return calls seeking comment.
