Obituaries : * Thomas H. Wilson; Grandson of Pioneers

Thomas H. Wilson, a longtime Ventura County resident and a descendant of early Moorpark settlers, has died. He was 86.

Wilson was the grandson of pioneers who settled the Moorpark area in the 1880s. He attended Moorpark High School, graduating in 1929. Wilson worked as a transportation foreman for McDonnell-Douglas. After retiring, he worked in real estate at Acres Realty in Camarillo.

Wilson was a member of the Ventura County Historical Society, the Moorpark Historical Society and Friends of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and the Museum. He also volunteered for the Moorpark Food Share Program and was active in the Moorpark Senior Center.

Wilson is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Judy and John Costales of Ventura; son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Lynda Wilson of Puyallup, Wash.; brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Edith Wilson of Santa Rosa; and several great-grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be sent to the Ventura County Historical Society or the Moorpark Historical Society.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Pierce Brothers Griffin Mortuary in Camarillo.
