Sylmar : Suspect in Killing Arrested in Mexico
Los Angeles police on Friday announced the arrest in Mexico of a Sylmar murder suspect.
The suspect, Fernando Garcia, 22, was taken into custody Thursday at his uncle’s home in San Quintin, LAPD Detective Frank Bishop said.
A family member led police to Garcia, who agreed to return to Los Angeles, where he was arrested in the slaying of David Vasquez.
Vasquez was found stabbed to death Oct. 29 in the 9400 block of Urbana Avenue in Arleta, Bishop said.
The slaying occurred after Garcia and Vasquez got into an argument.
